ON AIR: THE RADIO’S STAGETEC AT NAB SHOW

Stagetec takes the stage at NAB Las Vegas 2026 presenting the ON AIR console, the brand-new mixing solution designed specifically for radio broadcasters — modular, scalable, and fully IP-based.

ON AIR CONSOLE

Stagetec presents at NAB Las Vegas 2026 its ON AIR console, a brand-new product. The console consists of a surface connected to a DSP core capable of handling 256 DSP channels, including 128 buses.

The surface features a modular design, making it fully scalable — it can be configured in larger versions with more faders or in a smaller form factor depending on requirements. The modules communicate with the core over IP.

As an I/O unit, the NEXUS Compact is connected, allowing direct control from the surface of microphone inputs, AES3 channels, and related functions. The system covers all typical radio broadcast functionality, including program buses, N-1 matrices, GPIOs, and a full set of DSP modules such as EQ and dynamics processing.

A virtual console is also available, accessible via web browser directly through the core. The surface touchscreens allow easy access to channels for parameter adjustments and module selection, both via the touchscreen interface and by direct physical selection on the surface. Touchscreen functionality also supports the mapping of parameters to a dedicated control knob — for example, the trim control can be assigned and adjusted directly from the surface.

The ON AIR console is specifically tailored to the requirements of radio broadcasters and is also suited as a backup console for live shows, OB vans, and similar broadcast environments. Being fully IP-based, it integrates seamlessly into modern networked media production infrastructures, including hybrid configurations that ensure backward compatibility with existing installations.

Key features:

  • Scalable modular surface with IP-based communication to the DSP core, configurable in multiple fader configurations
  • 256 DSP channels / 128 buses with complete radio broadcast functionality including program buses, N-1 matrices, GPIOs, EQ, and dynamics processing
  • Virtual console accessible via web browser through the core, with touchscreen parameter mapping and dedicated knob control
  • NEXUS Compact connectivity as I/O unit, providing 8 TrueMatch® microphone inputs and 4 AES3 stereo inputs/outputs directly controllable from the surface
  • TrueMatch® microphone preamplifier technology with a dynamic range of 158 dB, eliminating the need for analogue preamplification
  • IP-native architecture compatible with AES67, Dante, Ravenna, SMPTE 2110-30/31, enabling full integration into existing IP broadcast networks
  • EMBER+ and GPIO integration for seamless embedding into any broadcast automation and control environment
  • Stand-alone operation capability of the connected NEXUS Compact, enabling local source mixing and IFB monitoring without latency
  • Backup console capability, making it suitable for live production, OB vans, and remote production scenarios beyond primary radio studio use
  • Browser-based user interface for full system control, snapshot storage, GPIO configuration, and parameter access from any connected tablet or laptop without dedicated software
  • Fully integrated into Stagenet, Stagetec’s orchestration platform for routing, control, and monitoring across the entire production infrastructure
